Valentine’s Day ads can be fun, funny, sweet, or romantic. The only rule of thumb is to make sure the approach fits the personality of the brand. These are some of the best Valentine’s Day ads we’ve come across.

Tweet Sweet

Adweek shared a story about Twitter’s out-of-home Valentine’s Day campaign. It made use of billboards and subways in New York, San Francisco and Seattle. The campaign used #WeMetOnTwitter for real posts that related to dating, marriage, and other romantic topics. Our favorite is pictured in the middle. It reads, “My husband said we have too much cheese in the fridge, so now I need to find a new husband.”

Harmonize

E-Harmony created a YouTube Video with children in Australia. The kids offer their thoughts and advice and it ends with a nice connection to the dating company. It’s a cute ad that reminds viewers of how simple “love” was at the age of 5.

A Crafty Campaign from Kraft

Parents can visit kraftmacisforlovers.com to enter for a chance to win Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Big Bowls in time for Valentine’s Day. Along with the Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Big Bowls, parents get some romantic goodies; candles, rose petals and a card. The idea is to get the kids to bed and set the mood for mom and dad.

Teleflora Gets the Message Right

Teleflora has a new campaign called Flowers Say It Best. The message is to send the right message! You’ll get a laugh.

Their second ad is just as cute, but instead of a singing-chocolate box, we get an insecure talking bear.

Boston Pizza Surprise

Boston Pizza’s ad focuses on Nick and Sarah – a young couple living thousands of miles apart. They are going to use Skype to “share” a heart shaped pizza but this has an extra special topping.
